I’ve been wobbling around like the proverbial jelly for weeks thinking I was a failure after a gut wrenching disappointment. But my friend and business co-conspirator Lydia Saward (@writtenbylyds) kept believing in me and trusting me to illustrate her picture book.
I didn’t think I could do it, and lost all confidence and self belief after a big commission fell through and couldn’t pull myself out of the gloom.
But people around me kept believing, and their support and confidence in me has helped me find my way. I can’t share any of the picture book illustrations yet, so instead, I’m practicing and refining my style with some other inspiration.
