What Would You Like?
What brightens your day and makes you smile? What do you find interesting and useful?
I listened to a podcast recently entitled 'what do you want?'
When I thought about the question, I realised that I knew in a nebulous way, but not in a clear, ‘lets make a plan’ kind of way.
I think clarity on what we want comes and goes. I have spent lots of time through my life and particularly over the last few years thinking and planning, making lists and coming up with objectives. I have known where I was going and what I wanted.
This time last year, I spent time exploring my purpose. I wrote it down and shared it. It was to create vibrant and engaging illustrations that bring words and ideas to life. (You can read the full article here.)
But life unfolds in unexpected ways.
And while what I wrote at the start of 2022 is still true, it’s not all of it.
So I’ve been back to the drawing board (literally and figuratively), thinking about what I want.
I draw because it lights my soul and makes my heart sing. But I find I need more, a reason to draw, to explore beyond personal enjoyment. And that’s where you come in. I want to draw things that brighten your day, that make you smile, that you find interesting or useful.
Things that light your soul and make your heart sing.
I have some ideas for new designs to share with you and I would love to hear your ideas as well.
So I want to ask you, what would you like? What brightens your day and makes you smile?
